😅 While setting boundaries are helpful and empowering, have you ever noticed that summoning the courage to say “no” to certain people or around certain areas of your life is, well, uncomfortable? Or maybe even terrifying or shameful?
💥 Boundaries might not sound like the most enticing topic at first, but it might be the single most important topic you could possibly talk about when it comes to personal growth, because it probably impacts every area of your life.
Setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable because growth often is uncomfortable.
🙌🏽 Boundaries happen when you can sense what you need and want, and then access your voice to speak to those things. You have “limits,” and you’ve most likely experienced violations in those limits.
Most likely people aren't trying to violate your limits—they just might not be aware of what they are...yet. So consider:
What specific areas of your life do you need to set boundaries for?
Who do you most need to set boundaries with?
Where do you need to set boundaries with yourself?
Are you clear with yourself or other people about what you want or need?
Can you ever take boundary-setting too far?
